MX Record Lookup
Check which mail servers handle email for any domain. See priorities, hostnames, and TTL values.
What are MX Records?
MX (Mail Exchange) records are DNS records that specify which mail servers are responsible for receiving email on behalf of a domain. Each MX record has a priority value — lower numbers indicate higher priority servers that should be tried first.
Why Check MX Records?
- Verify a domain can receive emails before sending
- Diagnose email delivery issues
- Identify which email provider a domain uses (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.)
- Detect disposable email services by their mail server infrastructure
