What Do Email Headers Tell You?
- Message route — Every server the email passed through, with timestamps
- Authentication — Whether SPF, DKIM, and DMARC checks passed or failed
- Delays — Time spent at each hop, helping diagnose slow delivery
- Spoofing detection — Mismatched "From" headers and originating IPs indicate forgery
